Relocating Out Of The
Local Community
Think for a moment of those cold, dark wintery days when you start to
ponder the idea of relocating to a warmer climate. Or, you are thinking
of retirement and are contemplating an area where the pace is a little
slower. Perhaps there is an independent business opportunity out on the
east or west coast that you are considering. Maybe family or close
friends are going to move out of the general community, or even out of
Illinois, and you may also make the move. How will you successfully find
professional real estate help for such transactions? Contact your real
estate agent and ask if she belongs to a relocation service such as the
“Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.” Through such a service,
you will be introduced to a realtor/relocation specialist in the local
community that you are considering. Ask about the training and
experience of the specialist. Strong companies will require the
relocation agent to work “full-time,” have a minimum volume in yearly
sales and receive special relocation training on an annual basis to be a
part of the relocation team. Thus, if you decide to make the move to a
distant community, you must be confident that your new relocation agent
will be skilled and knowledgeable.
